Adriana Oprea
Adriana Oprea is an art critic and historian. She has been publishing essays and reviews in Revista 22 and is a collaborator of Revista ARTA since its relaunch in 2010. In 2006 she started working in the documentation department at the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Bucharest, where she documents the work of Romanian contemporary artists and analyzes the dynamics of the local scene. She is also completing a Ph.D. on the history of art criticism in late-communist Romania, and the status of the art critic and their discourse before 1989. Lately, she has been curating shows with artists whose work she loves and admires. Born in 1982, she lives in Bucharest, a city she cannot help herself but love – a tough, but for that reason authentic, love.
