Alexandra Moț
Alexandra Elisabeta Moț is a young art historian who combines the practice of heritage conservation with research. She recently graduated from the National University of Arts, the Department of Art History and Theory, with a thesis on hybrid physiognomies in the 17th century, and her current extensive research project concerns tools for domesticating the horse gaze and reimagining the human/equine relationship in contemporary art. Although she aims to specialize in representations of nature in modern and contemporary art, she seeks to expand her methods of inquiry through artistic research and situated interaction with the non-humans she studies.
