Charles Moore

Dr. Charles Moore is a New York-based author, curator, and art critic whose work explores abstraction, color theory, and social justice through a critical and curatorial lens. He earned a master’s in museum studies from Harvard University and a Doctorate at Columbia University, with a research focus on the life and career of abstract painter Ed Clark. His critical writings have appeared in respected publications such as Juxtapoz, CULTURED, Artnet, Brooklyn Rail, The Art Newspaper, ARTnews and Frieze Magazine. He is the author of The Black Market: A Guide to Art Collecting (2020), Art & Economics (2024), and 24-Hour Interview (2025). His work has been translated into 15 languages, reflecting a global engagement with his critical perspectives. As a curator, he has organized exhibitions across several countries, including Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico and the Netherlands.
