Gyula Muskovics

Gyula Muskovics is an independent curator based in Budapest. He worked for tranzit.hu as a curator and researcher from 2013 to 2017. He was the editor of contemporary art magazines tranzitblog.hu and mezosfera.org. His interests range from queer studies, post-socialism, socially engaged artistic practices to performance art and contemporary dance. He often works in a curatorial duo with Andi Soós. Since 2013 they research the oeuvre of Hungarian avantgarde fashion designer Tamás Király, and in 2017 they produced the book Tamás Király ‘80s. Currently Gyula is attending the Design Culture Studies Ph.D. program at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Budapest. His research topic is "Performativity in the work of Tamás Király“.
