Teodor Ajder was born in Chișinău. He studied psychology at Babeș-Bolyai, Cluj-Napoca, and got his master's degree in education sciences and his doctorate in media, information and environmental sciences at Yokohama State University. He is currently living in Warsaw, where he writes for the "Mămăliga de Warsaw" annual publication. In his practice he tries to match visual arts with fictional and critical texts in an attempt to understand the condition of migration. He is the author of several book-objects, among which "Obrăzaru-i pentru o japonez[c]ă" – published in Romania at FrACTalia, Bucharest, (2019), "MoPoJaRo", Dzialan Gallery / Studio Gallery, Warsaw, (2010,2019). He's a gardener.
