Miruna Robescu, a graduate of the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara, specializing in Heritage, Restoration and Curatorship in Visual Arts, is a cultural mediator and writes about art with one eye on the past and the other in the present. For her, art history is not just a point of reference, but a filter through which she looks at and understands what is happening today in the art world. She works alongside contemporary artists and emerging practices, but constantly returns to the art of the Baroque and Renaissance periods in search of those visual and symbolic connections that span across time. She is interested in how gestures, compositions or themes migrate through the centuries and reappear, transformed, in current works. For Miruna, art reveals its true meaning only when it is seen in depth.
In the "Avoiding memories" exhibition, each work becomes a catharsis, a medium in which trauma is art on display and pain is translated into visual forms that enable the process of emotional release.
