Petru Lucaci (b. 1956, Arad, Romania) is an artist, educator, curator and cultural manager living and working in Bucharest, Romania. He graduated with Honors from the Nicolae Grigorescu Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Painting Department, in 1982. He holds a PhD in Visual Arts with the theme "About Black", which he defended in 2006, and is currently a professor at the National University of Arts in Bucharest. Since 2010, he is president of the Romanian Fine Artists Union and director of Arta Magazine.
