The workshop organized by the magazine is an invitation to young people from the Republic of Moldova who would like to try their hand at art criticism. It is not necessary for participants to have graduated from an art-related university, and there is no age limit. We encourage participation from those who are curious, open, unbiased and daring – and who want to build a critical discourse and be active on the contemporary art scene the Republic of Moldova and in Romania.
Over four days we will have:
– an introductory session for the participants to meet and discover the methodology behind the workshop;
– a studio visit with the artist Pavel Brăila, whose works will be the starting point of the work sessions and the final text;
– two work sessions which will cover issues such as: researching and preparing a review; conducting interviews; drafting and editing the piece; at the end of the third day, participants will produce a short text;
– a collective feedback session; the best text will be awarded and published in the online magazine.
