Billie Rose & Oana Matei

Billie Rose (all pronouns) is a queer and poly person who explores the practice of consensual rope bondage, integrating it into her political performance art. She has been active in the queer movement since 2015 and has been facilitating workshops for the kink, rope, and polyamory communities since 2018. Their work, research, and writing reflect the values of these relational spaces, while also being influenced by their studies in architecture.

Oana Raluca Matei is an art historian and visual artist with a master’s degree in Art History and Philosophy of Culture and a bachelor’s degree in History, both from the University of Bucharest. Her interests lie at the intersection of art history, aesthetics, the philosophy of culture, and visual culture studies. Throughout her academic and professional career, she has engaged in archival research, archaeological practice, museum work, and cultural mediation, exploring themes such as female memory, the body, identity, and visual symbols.
